When I was young, I dreamt of being a scientist, an archaeologist to be specific. Eventhough I do not know how to spell it that time, I still want to be one because I am fascinated with dinosaurs and I want to dig up their fossils. When I entered gradeschool, I thought of being a newscaster, a flight attendant and an astronaut. But no matter how difficult it may be to decide for my career, I know there will be only one destined for me. And so I quote, "Sa hinaba-haba man ng desisyon, sa Engineering din ang tuloy." :)
So why did I choose Engineering? After I've eliminated all possible professions on my list, I have arrived at only one career left that is most suitable for me. Choosing the perfect course includes considering my hobbies and passion because I want a career that I would enjoy. I am a hands-on person. I like building, creating or repairing something. I used to repair my bedroom's door knob and our bathroom's light bulb. I am also into technology. I wanted to be part of the rapid advancement in the modern world. Most of all, I love solving Math problems. I am challenged and I enjoyed it. I believe that Math problems are just like our problems in the real world. It takes a lot of discipline and patience to solve any problem, whether in Calculus or your problems in life.
These are some of the reasons that made me take up Engineering. No matter how hard it takes me, I will do my best to excel in my chosen field. Every step I make will lead me closer to my goals. Now that I am getting nearer on claiming my title, I can proudly say that I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be.
