I only have less than two months to buy myself a gift this Christmas. I have a long list, that's why I have "money-making schemes" to help me buy these stuffs. At this point, I still need to work harder and spend lesser because I can't rely on Santa anymore. I remember those times when I wake up to see gifts on my bed or under the christmas tree. One time I received a Batman action figure. That was really on my wish list because I want action figures to pair up with my Barbie's, haha. Now that I already know who Santa really is, I do not receive gifts anymore, how sad. :(
Anyway, first thing on my list is a new cellphone. Years ago I can enumerate all phone models of Nokia, even its features and price on the market. Now, because of the rapid advancement in technology, I don't even know my mom's phone model. I have a Nokia N73 Music. I bought it 2 years ago and I told myself that I will never buy again until I graduate in College. But everything has changed, because my phone's not that good anymore. It is full of scratches and though it's still working, there are times that I encounter some problems regarding the phone memory.

(for more info click here)
Another semester has officially ended. We took Filipino and Philosophy exams yesterday. As expected, the last day is not that frustrating compared to the first two days, in which we took up Calculus and Physics.
Calculus has never been fun. It was perhaps the most difficult subject to understand. Good thing Youtube is there for some tutorials. :) Physics, on the other hand, is a bit easier that Calculus. Mostly likely because we have a very good Professor and we have taken it in Highscool so it's not new to us.
I am so happy that the exams are finally over. No more sleepless nights... for now, because everything will be back to normal after 3 weeks. I also feel sad at the thought of having low grades. :( Well, there's nothing I can do now. I think I've done my best so no regrets! I just hope that me and my friends would pass everything so we can be together again next semester.
Many people have suffered the aftermath of the typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng. Lives were lost, families were left homeless and properties were damaged. Few weeks have passed but some of them are still unable to recover from the damage done by the disaster.
The calamity has brought out the Bayanihan among the nation. The Filipinos, young and old, whether rich or poor, have not failed to show sympathy and response to those victims who call for help.
Rico Blanco, former vocalist of the band Rivermaya gave his sincere contribution by composing this song, entitled "Bangon". He hopes that this song would help raise more funds and donations for the victims. The song and the video show how Filipinos struggled and how we became united as one nation.
When I was young, I dreamt of being a scientist, an archaeologist to be specific. Eventhough I do not know how to spell it that time, I still want to be one because I am fascinated with dinosaurs and I want to dig up their fossils. When I entered gradeschool, I thought of being a newscaster, a flight attendant and an astronaut. But no matter how difficult it may be to decide for my career, I know there will be only one destined for me. And so I quote, "Sa hinaba-haba man ng desisyon, sa Engineering din ang tuloy." :)
I am more of a reader than a writer. I like novels, particularly sci-fi, mystery and suspense. The first book I finished reading (besides my ABC book) is Harry Potter. I love the Harry Potter series. My favorite is the 6th book, the Half-blood Prince. I've watched the movie of course, and it's very disappointing because I was expecting more. I hope they would give all their best in the last movie.
Some of the best books I've read so far include "Cradle & All" by James Patterson, "The Door to December" by Dean Koontz and Dan Brown's "Angels and Demons".
Have you ever won the lottery? Me, I've won a couple of times already. About a hundred million pesos in total, but I've never touched the money.
I'm talking about this scam text message saying, "CONGRATULATIONS! You've won P12,345,678.90!! Your cellphone number was randomly chosen in our monthly drawing. To claim the prize, call me immediately. I'm ATTY. Pekeng Abugado, President of SuperRich Company. Per DTI-NCR Permit No. 54321." I get so irritated whenever I receive messages like this. Once I replied, "Sayo nalang yung prize ko because I am richer than you." He didn't reply. After a few weeks, he sent the same message, but using a different number.
The negative effect brought by unlimited texting. *sigh*
Another kind of text messages I usually receive are those chain messages. Here are some I remember:
Here comes tropical storm "Pepeng".
Here comes Christmas!
Manong Pepeng
The country is still in the process of recovering from "Ondoy" but the headlines deliver another sad news, another typhoon named "Pepeng". Seeing the aftermath of Ondoy alarmed me and made me realize that we have to do something to prevent this from happening again. According to the weather forecast, Pepeng may not give heavy rains as much as Ondoy but it will bring strong winds that could cause another damage to Luzon.
